Buckwheat Porridge

Buckwheat is a great gluten-free alternative to have other than oats for breakfast, it has a delicate nutty taste and it tastes even better toasted.
Buckwheat is often confused with being a grain but it is actually a seed that is high in protein and a good source of magnesium, and dietary fiber.
Buckwheat is also rich in flavonoids, especially rutin and quercitin.
Flavonoids are phytonutrients that protect against disease by extending the action of vitamin C and acting as antioxidants.
I enjoy a buckwheat porridge breakfast at least twice a week.......yummo.
